Workshop: Plants on Planks

Epi means Upon and Phyte means Plant. Epiphytes grow on other plants without being a parasite!

About this experience

It's Plants on Plants for this fun project! Many plants in your collection may already be epiphytes without you knowing! These tree-dwellers are some of the easiest care in a group because of their low water needs. They also grow underneath the tree canopy, without direct light. We will show the unique features of the epiphytic plants by attaching them to a plank of wood. These pieces are lightweight enough to be hung on walls or trellises. Enjoy one of the most fascinating plant behaviors in your own home!

Included in ticket: (9" x 10.5") wooden plank, your choice of staghorn fern or hoya plant, sphagnum moss, decorative moss, and attaching materials.
