Your Fargo favorite holiday tradition returns!  Spruce Tops are the best way to decorate through winter. Our workshops provide a chance to learn how to create your one-of-a-kind container. Spruce, Cedar, and Pine work together naturally to make a varied display of festive foliage on your doorstep. Whether it’s your first time or your family’s fifth year here, we are delighted to host these seasonal sessions!

Ticket price includes:

• Eco-pot (ready to display or drop into your pot at home)
• Soil
• Spruce tops
• Mix of specialty greens
• Wire
• Stakes
• Use of tools (as needed)

Decorations available for purchase, no outside materials please.

If signing up with friends or as a group, we recommend that one person purchase all the tickets to ensure everyone gets a spot. Once the event is sold out, additional spots are not able to be added.

We can offer refunds of the ticket cost excluding tax. These are available up to 24 hours in advance of the workshop time.

The minimum attendee number for our Spruce Top Workshops is 10. If a total of 10 people is not reached by the day prior to class, we will contact you to refund or reschedule.

Welcome back for year three of bonsai club! Baker hosts North Dakota's only bonsai club. Anyone with a curiosity of the art is welcome to join for free to listen and engage with other members. We ask you register to allow us to prepare for guests. Not only will you get a new plant potted up, you also leave with cultural, historical, and care information. We discuss the origins of the ancient art, traditional practices, and modern applications. Our club is focused around tropical species to be kept as indoor bonsai.

Included in the paid ticket is 1 6” bonsai pot of preferred style and color, 1 bonsai plant, wire materials, and bonsai soil.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Kick off spring with a party, a planting party! Everyone begins with the same pots and plants, but everyone creates something different! Choose from a Baker exclusive selection of thrilling, filling, and spilling plants. After our party, the planters will stay in our greenhouse to be cared for by our staff. One of our favorite things in spring is to watch your creations explode with growth! You’re more than welcome to come check on your babies as they grow (it’s not called a nursery for no reason!) Pickup will be after Memorial Day (weather depending). We can’t wait to have you for our garden get together!

All tickets include: Your choice of flowers, soil, slow-release fertilizer, a prime spot in the greenhouse, and watering from your favorite Baker folk.

Lucky Bamboo is a great plant for any location, home, office, and school. These are low-maintenance plants that rely only on water! In addition to the minimal care instructions, we will also discuss the history of the art form. We are providing three different choices of stalk numbers as they have different meanings. Create a feng shui arrangement of lucky bamboo stalks decorated with rock.

Three stocks is traditional, representing the three great blessings of wealth, happiness, and longevity!

Seven stalks represent good health. 

Ten stalks of lucky bamboo is a complete and perfect blessing.

Day off of school calls for a Baker Garden & Gift workshop!

Allow your child to unplug, think creatively, and make a mess (one that you don't have to clean up!) at our Terrarium class. Together we will be building an ecosystem step by step from soil to a lucky shamrock plant. Kids can create and learn how to care for their plants. A parent or guardian is encouraged to work with their child to make their masterpiece!

Included with cost of ticket: glass bowl, planting materials, moss and rocks, 1" terracotta pot, 1 oxalis (shamrock) and 2 terrarium plants.
