All about Aglaonema!

Aglaonema or commonly known as Chinese Evergreen are native to the rainforests of South East Asia, where they grow in the understory. The plant was first introduced into the horticulture industry in 1885. 

 

Aglaonema is said to bring fortune and good luck to your home. 

Care

They do best in bright-indirect light; however, they adapt well to almost all lighting conditions.

Allow soil to almost completely dry out dry between watering, especially if the plant is in lower light conditions. These plants are known for being drought tolerate, making them incredibly forgiving if you forget a watering every once in a while.

Aglaonema are adaptable to many lighting conditions, including fluorescent lighting, making this perfectly suited for your office. In addition to being adaptable to lighting, they are also tolerant to colder indoor temperatures. So if you have a colder or draftier home, this plant can handle it!

Fun Fact

In houseplants, Aglaonemas stand out with their bright pink coloring. This is not their original look in their native environments, but the coloring was developed through houseplant hybrids.
